We have just taken delivery of a 20′ container of vintage style cabin trunks and vintage style sets of suitcases. This was a lot harder than it sounds, on the hottest day of the year so far it was like working inside an oven as the afternoon sun beat down on the outside of the container, there was next to no breeze and we were all a few pounds lighter at the end of it all.

Also on this container was the new range of daisy decorated watering cans and planters.

We have just had a delivery of our ever popular antique coloured clothes rails. These are also available in cream and sell fast. Although we will reorder immediately production time is such they may not be delivered to us much before Autumn.

Many other popular lines were also on this container and will be out for delivery to those who have ordered them over the next week or so.

Collage photo frame

We have just taken delivery of a container of our popular collage photo frames and photo storage boxes.

These are extremely quick selling items and although we have already ordered another containerful this delivery is sure to sell out quickly so it’s advisable to place your orders soon.

We have just received news that JIG UK Ltd are closing down their cash and carry operations. Whilst this will undoubtedly cause some disruption to their current customers we would like to offer our cash and carry facilities as a possible alternative.

We are open from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and offer 10% discount off all our stock items and there are no minimum quantities or minimum order value. We also have a showroom full of end of lines, samples and ex-display items with up to 35% off.

We have just taken delivery of a container of goods with the pre-fix YF, including coat stands, models and garden ornamnents. These items always sell fast at this time of year so we have another order in with our supplier currently due to ship sometime in July so we should take delivery in August.

As many of our Irish customers will be aware we are changing the way we distribute in Ireland, both North and South.

We will no longer use our own van and driver but will change to a palletised distribution system. We have been using this method successfully on the mainland for the past 2 years with great success so we are expanding this method to include Ireland.

We will abolish the 4% Irish surcharge and simplify the charging bands, full details can be found on the delivery page of our main website.

Another major advantage of this means of delivery is a greatly reduced lead time for our customers. If you place an order for in-stock items via our website you should have that delivered to you by the end of the next week, a great improvement on our previous method of distribution we feel.

We have just completed our end of year stock take and are now ready to clear out some of the older slower selling lines. These have now been added to the special offers section of our website and have been discounted by up to 20%.

To take us into Spring proper we have decided to have a special offer promotion for orders placed through our website.

We are coming up to the end of our financial year and so will be stock taking soon. After stocktake we will be reassessing our ranges and clearing out some of the less popular and older ones.   Tales of economic doom and bad weather pretty much killed the Spring Fair. Footfall was massively down, probably due to severe weather warnings and people being advised not to travel unless absolutely essential.

We suffered as a result, as did most of the other exhibitors we spoke to. Some fared a lot worse than us some a little better. We had many new products to show, a much larger stand with a different layout and still our orders were much lower than last year.

Could this be the end of two separate shows at this time of year? Who knows at least we are still trading and looking to make the most of the orders we have.
